7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday

There is a $100 wait list application fee.  We call from the waitlist when offering spaces for enrollment.

To enroll in this school, the following fees and requirements must be fulfilled:

  • The first month’s tuition, a non-refundable security deposit equal to one month’s tuition, and a non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 are all due at the time of enrollment.
  • The security deposit is for the last month of the academic year, which is July of every year.
  • If the child is re-enrolled for the following school year, the security deposit may be transferred. The security deposit payment may be made in a lump sum or paid over three installments.
  • To guarantee enrollment and begin the enrollment process, families must pay the enrollment fees and sign a one-year financial contract.
  • Once enrollment fees are received, families will receive an enrollment packet that contains all of the necessary documents to complete the enrollment process.

It is important to carefully review these fees and requirements before enrolling in the school.

We love parents and grandparents in our classrooms.  We have lots of opportunities for involvement. However, during any COVID related state mandates or restrictions, these opportunities are limited.

  • We accept Cash, Checks and can set up auto-pay for tuition via ACH only
  • We do not accept credit cards or debit cards.

Many times families are interested in our center but aren’t ready to start for several months. We can hold a spot for your child if there is an opening. The monthly rate charged to have the spot is 50% of the monthly rate for that spot.  However, a hold rate can not be done retroactively.

At World City Center (WCC), our educational approach is rooted in play-based, project-based learning, guided by constructivist theory. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of children’s interests in shaping their learning experiences. Our curriculum is dynamic and child-led, with teachers observing and responding to each child’s curiosities, providing activities and experiences that align with their interests.

We also prioritize collaboration with our staff, parents, and the broader community to create a rich learning environment. Throughout the year, we celebrate cultural diversity and important heritage months, including Black History, AAPI, Hispanic Heritage, Women’s History Month, and in September, we focus on our anti-bias curriculum to foster inclusivity and respect.

In August, we focus on “Getting to Know You” month, where families, teachers, and children connect to build a strong community. From January to May, our 3- to 4-year-olds participate in a comprehensive, 26-week kindergarten readiness curriculum to ensure they are well-prepared for the next step in their educational journey.

Additionally, we welcome parents to share their cultural traditions and interests through parent-led experiences, enriching the learning environment for all.

  • We utilize a dual-immersion model.  Research and studies show that the 90:10 model of dual-language immersion is the most effective model for teaching a second language.
  • The goal for language immersion in the preschool setting is that children develop the ear for the language from hearing it being spoken and develop a foundation for future language acquisition.
  • Art, music and movement are incorporated into the curriculum, as we believe that the arts are an important part of educating our children.
  • We assist families of 2-year-olds with potty training.
  • All 3-year-olds entering into preschool must be potty trained prior to enrollment.

At World City Center, we believe in equipping children with the tools they need to make thoughtful choices in their behavior. Our approach to discipline focuses on consistency and fairness, with the understanding that both good and bad choices have consequences.

We prioritize talking about feelings, encouraging children to express their emotions and understand them. We provide a safe, calm, and neutral space for conflict resolution, where children can resolve disagreements with guidance. We model conflict resolution language and empower children by giving them the tools to advocate for themselves when needed.

Our Anti-Bias Curriculum plays a key role in supporting children’s social-emotional development, helping them navigate and understand diverse perspectives. Ultimately, our goal is to foster independence and equip children with the skills to manage their emotions and interactions in a positive way.

  • Children in our programs nap for 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Naps take place in the classrooms. Every child has a cot for napping.
  • Teachers are fully bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Every teacher has either a preschool teacher permit, an Associates or Bachelors in ECE or at least 12 credit units in ECE and one year classroom experience.
  • We have a roster of substitutes that we like to have in our space.
  • In the event that a substitute is not available from our own roster, we utilize and substitute teacher agency that provides subs who are background checked to the same standard as our current teachers and are experienced teachers or teacher’s aids.

At World City Center, we have classrooms tailored to the developmental stages of children. Our West Adams location has 3 classrooms, while our Inglewood location offers 5 classrooms.

We currently accept children ages 2 to 5 at both locations, and we plan to begin accepting infants at the Inglewood location at a TBD date.

We take professional development of our staff very seriously. We believe that educating children is a life long learning process and we have designed a professional development schedule for the year that we think addresses issues that are important to keeping our teachers focused, dedicated and informed in the developmentally appropriate practice of teaching and caring for young children.  For that reason we have early pick up days every 2nd Friday of the month at 12 pm.

NOTE: Families pay 100% rate for all professional development days and early pickup days.
