WCC Featured on VOA for Supporting Mixed Families
World City Center families were recently featured on a news piece produced by VOA Correspondent Elizabeth Lee, Number of Interracial Marriages, Multiracial Americans Growing Rapidly.
With a school population that is approx. 30% mixed race, World City Center takes a proactive approach to supporting mixed race families and children in their identity development. We honor what each family brings to our collective school culture, celebrating our differences and finding alignment in our shared humanity. Our cultural curriculum is guided by our present student body and we lead by inviting each family to share with us what makes their culture unique and special. You will often see us celebrating a cultural holiday or sharing in a hands-on experience that is influenced by our students cultural heritage.
Thank you to all of our parents that participated in the filming and offered your insights on what the WCC school community means for your family.
